Takeshi Ohbayashi was born in Hiroshima, Japan, in 1987. Brought up in a musical family, Takeshi became exposed to the piano at the very young age of 2. When he turned 9, Takeshi decided to put a hold on his piano studies, and at age 12, became interested in the trumpet. At age 18, Takeshi entered Tokyo College of music to study film scoring and composition.
