Italo Cunha, born in Brasilia, Brazil (1992), is a up and coming jazz guitarist, vocalist, producer and musical director who quickly gained recognition in his home-country receiving awards such as 1st Prize Festbandas(2004), Musical Revelation at The Toque de Classe Institute in 2005, the youngest recipient ever of a Contemporary Musical Education Degree from The Toque de Classe Institute, Jimi Hendrix Award (2010), 3rd Prize in the International Guitar Competition of Souza Lima/Berklee College of Music at the age of 16 as well as several appearances on television, newspapers, radios in Norway, Brazil as well as NYC and Boston, magazines, etc. Italo has been performing professionally since the age of 12 and have toured several countries with his music such as Brasil, Norway, Argentina, Chile, USA. Since the age of 16 he attends Berklee College of Music on a scholarship, where he had the opportunity to work in and out the school with many great artists, such as Marc Johnson, Mark Walker Hal Crook, Lee Ritenour, Eliana Elias, Greg Osby, Dave Santoro, Esperanza Spalding, Leo Blanco and many more. Currently Italo is on the jazz label Jazz Revelation Records for the 2nd Consecutive year. He also has recorded for Paramount Pictures Studio.
