Sarah Brindell grew up in a purple house on a hill in San Francisco. Named after a beloved piano teacher, she was raised by a cellist in the SF Symphony and a French horn player in the SF Opera/Ballet orchestras. Currently a professional singer, songwriter, arranger, and producer, Brindell is also an Assistant Professor at Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA, where she teaches songwriting, arranging, and harmony classes. At the piano, she sings a melodious hybrid blend of soul, jazz, Bossa Nova, and reggae that continues to captivate audiences from around the world. Sarah Brindell recently released her latest album, Dreaming Shoes in 2010 to critical approval: “If anything is going to put us in the right groove, it’s this newly minted diva of funk, pop, and jazz….Brindell’s latest CD has been soothing our soul of late.”-Boston Globe
